Patients have several options for paying for sleep testing at SleepTest.com. Understanding these options helps ensure a smooth process and avoid unexpected costs.
Payment Options
- Insurance: SleepTest.com works with various insurance providers. A complimentary insurance check is performed once patients activate their portal and agree to the Terms of Service. This usually takes 24-48 hours. Patients will receive an email detailing any out-of-pocket costs before proceeding. Some out-of-network or HMO plans may not be supported, but PPO, Medicare, and some out-of-network plans are typically covered.
- Cash Payment: For those who prefer or need to pay out-of-pocket, the Express/Skip-to-Ship option is available. This option allows patients to skip the pre-test telemedicine visit and pay cash. The fees are:
- $285 for the home sleep test
- $95 for a pre-test telemedicine consult
- $85 for a post-test telemedicine consult if needed
- These fees do not apply to insurance deductibles or co-insurance.
