What do I do if I think my sleep test is inaccurate?
If you think your sleep test results are inaccurate, there are several steps you can take to address the issue:
Check the Device and Setup
If you’re concerned about the quality of your test, and you have the test you can follow these steps:
- Ensure that the device is set up correctly. Refer to the instructions provided with the device to confirm all steps were followed.
- Verify that the device was correctly worn throughout the test. For example, make sure sensors were attached securely and the device was not removed during sleep.
- Check if the device was returned within the specified time frame. SleepTest.com typically requires devices to be returned within a 5-day testing window.
Review the Data
If you’ve already tested and returned the device you can follow these steps to review your results:
- Log in to your SleepTest.com portal to access the test results. Ensure you have activated your portal to view and download results.
- Check if the data collected meets the minimum requirement of 5 hours of recording. Insufficient data can lead to inaccurate results.
Request a Retest
If you feel that the test results were inaccurate and you’d like to retest follow these steps:
- If you suspect the device malfunctioned, contact SleepTest.com to report the issue. A retest may be offered at no additional cost if a malfunction is confirmed.
- You may request a retest if the data is insufficient due to user error. Note that a retest fee of $99 may apply if the original device functions correctly.
